Indian Yellow is one of my favourite paints purely in terms of hue, it's transparency gives it such depth and the nature of it's hue changing depending on how thickly it is applied.
This is an interesting variant, which I think is unique to Michael Harding. It has the additonal pigment PR101 or transparent red oxide, giving unsurprisingly a reddish shade to the hue while maintaining it's transparency.
It would be interesting to use this in a portrait palette and see the results, I reckon it could be used to give extremely luminous and rich shadows. Perfect for glazing.
Michael's Description;
"The Iron Oxide gives a very rich, beautiful, gingery red shade to the blend, as well as greatly accelerating the curing speed, to the point that this paint can be used as a curing agent in mixes with others. Fabulous when mixed with Magenta, Ultramarine Blue and other vivid colours."
