Description
Aged, alkali refined linseed oil is a low acid value oil, perfect for diluting mediums, thinning oil colours, preparing varnishes and grinding your own oil paint.
An interesting aside; from feedback about the oil, it was exposed to sunlight to thicken it with the purpose of making a light-bodied oil. This ended up making an oil that when mixed with oil colours enabled wash-like glazes that looked almost like watercolour without being smeary or uneven - the oil dried to a very solid film within 1-1/2 days.
Experimentation leads to happy accidents!
