From the bespoke collection of Wallace Seymour, a very rare shade of ultramarine pigment.
The pigment PG24 was discontinued some time ago and was last manufacturered in 1960, so it is wonderful to be able to offer it here, particularly given its extraordinary hue.
In masstone it is a dark blueish green, the green is subtle, I would say the hue sits right on the boundary between blue and green. When spread thinly with a palette knife the white ground shows through, displaying the wonderful transparency which ultramarine pigments possess.
It proved very difficult to get the swatch on the left to show the pigment's true vibrancy and hue and it is still a little off the from the reality.
Once white is added, tints of heavily green leaning blues are produced, it has medium tint power and provides plenty of range.
A real rarity and a really spectacular hue!
