Cobalt green light is the warmer, more yellow leaning variety of the two cobalt greens we sell.
The pigment is PG50, which to give it its full title is cobalt titanate green spinel, it is made by heating cobalt oxide and titanium oxide together and the resulting chemical reaction produces this green pigment.
Despite being the warmer version, in masstone this would be classed as a coolish green, just dipping below a mid-temperature green, surprisingly dense and opaque for a cobalt based pigment. To my eye it is like a softer, warmer virdian, there are no yellow undertones in there.
Once white is added, it is a decent tinter and provides a good range of mint greens.
