Chromium Oxide is an opaque, clean, medium shade, very stable green colour. It is commonly known as Viridian and is a cornerstone of landscape painting, being the perfect 'cool' green.
This is slightly warmer and lighter tonally than other Viridian I have seen, as you can see from the tube image it paints quite 'long'.
Guignet of Paris patented the process for manufacturing Viridian or transparent oxide of chromium in 1859 and therefore it was a favourite amongst the French Impressionists of that era, Mr.Van Gogh was known to be a fan as well.
It has excellent permanence.

An ever increasing range and as always a super prompt service.
This is a great green. A sci fi film, otherworldly green. Love it.
Using these paints is like being born again without the religious bit although it's certainly an experience .
