A lively, cool, high pitched green for a comparable colour it is certainly in the direction of viridian. This is a classy paint, composed of chrome yellow medium and prussian blue according to nineteenth century recipes, reckoned to come into being around 1862, this is gem for landscape and portrait painters. The lead base gives it a definite luminosity, which is not found in viridian.
