A single pigment banger, also known as permanent orange, the pigment is PO62, a modern synthetic pigment which is extremely lightfast and stable.
The paint will obviously have good synergy with all the 'permanent' family of pigments, such as permanent yellow light or permanent red light.
In masstone (straight out of the tube) it is a luminous mid-orange, reminiscent of a cadmium orange light.
It is a surprisingly strong tinter, and provides a wide range of tints when used with titanium white. As a cheaper and less toxic alternative to cadmium orange, it would be a superb choice.
To my eye it is slightly lighter than the tube swatch suggests both in tonal value and temperature - i.e. leaning slightly more yellow & brighter.
Impressive & great value.
