A purplish brown earth derived from the mineral Augite.
This is the lighter version of the Violet Augite and it has a little more chroma than the deep version. In masstone a umber brown hue, however it is when you add white you see why this is a bit special, the white gives a range of surprisingly violet tints, more violet chroma than the deep version.
To me this also has a bit more body than the light version. If you require subtle, earthy violets then this is for you. Possibly could be useful to gently cool other earth mixes as well.
Like it's deep cousin, this will be excellent on a portrait palette.
