Description
Between the dark and light versions of lead tin yellow both in value and temperature. This is a slightly green leaning full yellow.
Historically very important and it is present in many Italian and Northern Renaissance paintings.
A useful paint when trying to fill in the cool yellow gap on the colour wheel, it will work as a much more subtle version of 'Lemon Yellow'.
It is fine grained, paints long and has good tinting power. When tinted with white it produces very zingy, cool, yellows.
The lead content gives it lots of body.
