Description
Single pigment, mid temperature yellow with useful transparency - more pop and brightness than the swatch suggests.
In masstone, warmish yellow, mid-tonal value.
When spread thinly, the transparency causes the white ground to reflect light back up through the paint film, which cools the temperature of the paint.
Tints with titanium white again cool the paints hue - it gives tints of vivid yellows.
Ticks all the boxes for a 'go to' yellow on the palette, easier to use than cadmium with less tint power, cheaper, less toxic and transparent for explorations in that direction.
Genuinely useful, impressed!
