Description
It is grey and it is an ochre! Unique to Wallace Seymour.
Unusually for an earth pigment this has very little 'colour' in it and is almost neutral in masstone hue and tints.
I am surprisingly excited by this paint, I see great potential for it on my palette (everyone's palette is different!). I see this as a carbon-free alternative to black/dark grey, the carbon blacks can be a bit slippery or greasy and as it is a couple of steps away from black on the tonal value scale, it will enable more control and subtlety. Decent tinting strength.
Smooth consistency, ground in single estate, cold pressed linseed oil.
