Orange Ochre - 50ml

£18.75

Sourced from French quarries in the Luberon Massif, it has good body to it, quite dense, and it's orange hues hold well in mixes.

In masstone it is a mid-value orange/brown, used thinly it produces quite luminous oranges, and although classed as semi-opaque you could glaze with this.

The tint power is medium however it cools quite rapidly when Titanium white is added, the tint's are light filled flesh hues.

Very, very good for portrait/figurative work, I like this paint a lot.

I have used this a lot in portrait painting, in the transition from lighter to darker areas on flesh, it has a certain richness and light to it which makes it very suitable for that.

Rublev Orange Ochre

Great to have such a subtle, near-transparent, orange that can be used straight from the tube in portraiture.
