Italian Yellow Earth - 50ml

This has the golden yellow hue of a yellow ochre, it is sourced from Northern Italy. Semi-transparent and quite high in chroma and warmth, more yellow in reality than the pictured swatch, the swatch in the third image is more accurate!

It tint's are gentle, luminous, creamy yellows. This is a really good warm, earthy yellow, it paints 'long' being lean in body

This paint again demonstrates the integrity of Rublev, this is from the finest source of these pigments, not the easiest or the cheapest but the best, there is a good chance Caravaggio was grinding this very same 'earth' several hundred years ago.

Rublev Italian Yellow Earth

Probably the best ochre oil paint available and the best ochre pigment. There are hundreds of ochres and all different from each other but very few of them are up the what is expected of them for use as an oil colour - to make clear, warm tints with white. This Italian Yellow Earth does this supremely well. It has a transparency which stops it from overpowering other colours and actually helps unite them and modulate them. A wonderful pigment.
