Quite fat sticks roughly 10mm in diameter, these are very much sticks nothing overprocessed here! Unusually made from the Beech tree.
Very low oil, which enables rich dark marks which are relatively easily erased. Relatively soft.
This is so much better than your average processed charcoal.
Soft boiled and sourced from sustainable, hand coppiced woodland in North Yorkshire. England.

The fatter and softer the better to cover big areas quickly. Big fan.

wonderfully versatile, soft but also very dense. Therefore it is easy to rub into/erase, work back into, smudge or define. And a lovely velvety quality. At the moment it is my favourite, though they all just have differing qualities!
