This is without a doubt a terrible name, it could have been called Eagle's sunrise or Himalayan slope, fortunately the paint exceeds it's name, it is stone ground in poppyseed oil and could be objectively described as a warm grey. As always with Blockx, it has buttery texture and fine handling characteristics. It maybe worth comparing it with Rublev's Van dyke brown as a different option.
Warm greys have countless uses in painting, and I can't deny the pleasure in mixing your own, however if you want a high quality, consistent warm grey then brownish grey or 'starlight wonder' as I like to call it, is perfect.
