A green umber, this hue is visible in many old masters, and now in this 'pure' unblended form increasingly hard to find. This functions as almost a neutral 'grey' with real depth caused by the refraction of light all over the place, characteristic of all the earths and their natural organic structure. I feel you would find it difficult to use this and for it not to add depth to your painting. Totally recommended.
Rublev Italian Raw Umber Green is an opaque neutral with good tinting strength, medium grained and, like most Rublev Oil Colours, brushes "long" in the direction of the brush stroke. This Italian Raw Umber Green is from quarries in the Umbria region of Italy.
