A rare, special paint, with wonderful, transparent golden hues. In masstone a mid-value brown, very much like raw sienna. Spread thinly to appreciate it's very high transparency, it makes luminous golden hues, lovely and bright.
It's tints are creamy yellow/browns, it has reasonable body but not buttery.
This is my Rublev yellow earth paint, high chroma, luminous hues, handles really well. I thoroughly recommend it.
This particular pigment comes from near the river of Hrazdan in the Kotayk province of Armenia.
